| Setting Document Properties |
| Flash Basics are meant for learners entirely unfamiliar with Flash and obviously deal with the basics: |

Lesson -1 :
Setting Document Width, Height, Frame Rate and Background color of the Stage (Document).

The default Document width and height of the flash stage is 540X400 pixels. You can access Document Properties dialogue box in two ways.
- By going to main menu and select Modify>Document... (Keyboard shortcut Ctrl+J).
- Or by double clicking on fps (frames per second) block in the Timeline (see example below).

Movie Frame Rate
Access Document Properties Window either going to main menu modify>document or by double clicking fps (frames per second) block in the Timeline. Modify stage according to your requirement. Below example shows how you can modify the properties of your stage.
- Modify width and height of the stage.
- Modify background color of the stage.
- Modify frame rate per second of the movie.
- Click "Make Default" button only if you want same settings should remain for next time when you start flash.
